Licence to Ceilidh are a young and energetic London-based ceilidh band, who put a fresh twist on traditional tunes and dances by combining them with a contemporary rhythm. Their unique mix of traditional ceilidh tunes & dances with modern funky rhythm section gives the excitement of a function band with the inclusiveness of a Scottish ceilidh. The band comprises musicians and instruments of the highest quality, with past clients and venues including the BBC, Sting, Drapers Hall, Pembroke Lodge, Channel 4 and Caledonian Club, to name but a few. Their standard 5-piece line-up consists of: Caller, Fiddle, Guitar/Piano, Bass Guitar and Drum Kit, however they regularly perform from anything as small as a 3-piece, for a more intimate feel, to a 12-piece with a full horn section.
