Sofia Escobar

Biography

Sofia Escobar is a classically trained soprano from Portugal. She has studied at the Conservatorio de Musica do Porto in Oporto, and The Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Sofia regularly performs at exclusive venues for high-end clients, and she has a wealth of experience in theatre, film and television. In 2004 Sofia sang, “Jasmine”, in the Portuguese version of the special edition of Walt Disney’s, Aladdin, and she has performed in The West End, staring as Christine in, The Phantom of the Opera. Sofia Escobar has a promising future ahead, and she was very proud to be nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award for ‘Best Actress in a Musical’, for her performance as Maria in, West Side Story.
